We welcome Marlene Derstine as the new Coordinator for MCC Material Resource Center. Sharon Swartzentruber has been serving MRC for the past 14 years and is retiring on April 4. Marlene will assume her new role on March 4. She has been a social worker for Bridge of Hope for the past 11 years, served on the staff of Franconia Mennonite Church, and spent 8 years doing mission work in Pueblo, Mexico with her husband, Arnold.
She is a member of Plains Mennonite Church. Marlene has three adult daughters and four grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, knitting, reading, spending time outdoors, and family time with her children and grandchildren.

Relief kits provide valuable supplies to families whose lives have been disrupted by war or disaster. Practical gifts of soap, towels and other useful items help people know they are not alone; someone cares about them.
