What we do
The MCC Material Resource Center of Harleysville, serves as a liaison between the Mennonite Central Committee Material Resources Center of Ephrata, Pennsylvania and peace churches in Eastern Pennsylvania. We support this global ministry by communicating both needs and opportunities to give material resources to those suffering from poverty, oppression, natural disasters, and war. Through this outreach, we share God's love, hope, and joy in the name of Jesus.

MCC's material resource program ships hundreds of tons of basic supplies, such as blankets, canned meat, and kits, to people in need around the world every year. Volunteers sort and pack these supplies at the MCC Material Resource Center of Harleysville located at 737 Hagey Center Drive in Franconia Township, Souderton.

Kits, blankets and other items are donated by individuals, churches and organizations. School kits, hygiene kits, relief kits and blankets are among the most highly valued items that MCC ships abroad.

Making Kits & Volunteering
MCC addresses various needs by developing standardized kits to meet specific needs. Kit contents are specifically outlined for each area. This standardization provides equality when the kits are distributed and also facilitates the shipping. These kits are supplied through donations from churches, families, schools and other places and are processed and prepared for shipment at the MCC Material Resource Center of Harleysville.
