The Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Material Resource Center is committed to providing 100 bags each month to be given to those
in need of food in Philadelphia.
Fred Kauffman, MCC program coordinator in Philadelphia remarked that the grocery bag sharing project is an “act of compassion and Christian concern; and an act of confession. We live in a nation that has plenty of food for everyone; and the fact that many people don’t have enough to eat means that there is something very unjust in the way the world works.”
You can help by:
• filling an empty grocery bag provided by MCC.
• purchasing an already filled bag for $25 at Landis Market in
Telford, Vernfield, or Perkasie and deliver to MRC
to be distributed in Philadelphia
• donating money to MCC Material Resource Center,
737 Hagey Center Dr. Unit C,
Souderton, PA 18964 designated for “grocery project”.
